Octagon House

Octagon House

This historical landmark is a Colonial and Federal Periods Decorative Arts Museum.

This is what SF/Arts curator Christian L. Frock had to say about Octagon House :

Octagon House, built in 1861, is one of two remaining 19th-century octagonal houses in the city—and headquarters to the National Society of The Colonial Dames of America. Objects in the house speak to this growing city in the time of the Civil War. Featuring portraits, ceramics, pewter, needlework samplers and historical documents relevant to the founding of the United States.
