Young People’s Symphony Orchestra presents the Pops / Pre-Tour Concert, the final subscription concert of YPSO’s 89th season, featuring a vibrant program previewing the orchestra’s upcoming Finland and Sweden tour. The concert features concerto competition winner Felicia Ng performing Golovko’s Concerto for Marimba and Orchestra, alongside Copland’s Buckaroo Holiday from Rodeo, movements from Jean Sibelius’s Symphony No. 1, and favorite YPSO Pops

Founded in 1936 in Berkeley, CA, Young People’s Symphony Orchestra (YPSO) is the oldest youth orchestra in California, and the oldest independent youth orchestra in the nation. For nearly 85 years YPSO has developed the musical talents and skills of students in the San Francisco Bay Area. Today, many YPSO alumni are internationally distinguished musicians and prominent community members.
