Lehman Brothers, founded by immigrants, was the fourth largest investment bank in the United States when it filed for bankruptcy in 2008. Its shocking collapse caused worldwide financial mayhem. That spectacular fall from grace makes for great drama. Written by Stefano Massini, it premiered in Britain and was adapted by Ben Power and directed by Sam Mendes for its American production, now at A.C.T. The play, in three parts, begins in 1844.
