"The Hummingbird" follows the love story between Keats and her music partner, his descent into madness, and her attempt to save him – a tragic experience that culminated in an arduous jury trial, followed by two decades living in hiding.

Bound for Broadway at the age of 17, Kathryn Keats’ dream career was waylaid by a tragedy that included being held captive, followed by being a witness in a jury trial and then living in hiding for two decades with the help of Victim Witness Assistance. But her solo musical “The Hummingbird” is also a love story. David Ford co-developed and directs it, composer Kevin Gerzevitz collaborated with Keats on the score. This is her return appearance in the show at The Marsh.
