About

The nonprofit Sundance Institute has unveiled plans for the seven-day 2021 Sundance Film Festival, offered digitally via a custom-designed online platform alongside drive-ins, independent arthouses, and a network of local community partnerships.

The festival will showcase more than 70 feature films online and screen world premieres. The festival partners with the Roxie Theatre and Fort Mason FLIX to bring drive-in screenings in San Francisco.

According to Rick Norris, Roxie Program Director, "We are very excited to partner with the 2021 Sundance Film Festival. With this partnership we can offer the San Francisco Bay Area a chance to experience the Sundance Film Festival without having to travel to Park City. This is an opportunity for the curious to gain access not only to new films premiering with the Festival online (and with us here in San Francisco) but to an array of cultural conversations - during events and talks we will be programming as a Satellite Screen partner."
