Conductor Jessica Bejarano and the San Francisco Philharmonic close their season with an evening of orchestral power and emotion. The program opens with Tchaikovsky’s Marche Slave, a dramatic journey from darkness to triumph. Acclaimed cellist Anne Richardson performs Rococo Variations, showcasing lyrical elegance and virtuosity. The concert concludes with Elgar’s Enigma Variations, a deeply moving masterpiece culminating in the iconic Nimrod.

Founded in 2019 by Latina conductor Jessica Bejarano, the San Francisco Philharmonic reimagines who orchestral music is for and who gets to lead it. SF Phil creates accessible, community-centered performances that reflect the Bay Area’s diversity, amplifying women, BIPOC, and LGBTQIA+ artists through inclusive programming, equitable access initiatives, and genre-blending collaborations.
