San Francisco Frozen Film Festival
About
From thought-provoking dramas and documentaries to mind-bending experimental films, riotous comedies, enthralling LGBTQ+ stories, and prodigiously intricate award-winning animation, SFFFF 2025 promises to inspire, captivate and have you on the edge of your seat.
Join us July 16-20th at The Crossing Outdoor Cinema (250 Main Street, SF, CA) to see them in-person and experience the festival that Moviemaker Magazine counts among the “Top 25 Coolest Film Festivals in the World”, and the San Francisco Chronicle lists as the “best festival deal in town.”
SF/Arts Curator Insight
Not for nothing is this event called “the coolest festival in town.” It’s at an uber cool outdoor venue so, bundle up; the chill is part of the thrill of watching movies under the stars. Among the many films are two that investigate the allure of the sea and humanity’s relationship to it: “Haagua” joins a band of Native American surfers connecting with their ancestral traditions, and “Tides of Change,” dives beneath the waves with a photographer questing to save the oceans.
