SF/Arts Curator Insight

Rebecca Solnit is the author of many beloved works, including the bestselling, evergreen “Hope in the Dark” (2004), which proclaims hope a necessary tool for collective action, even, and especially, in uncertain times. Her new book “The Beginning Comes After the End” is a sequel to that title. It provides an account of the vast scale of social progress we’ve made in the past 60 years, and argues we are building a stronger, more interconnected world despite the forces seeking to divide us.
