RAMONA
About
Since 2012, Ramona has created their own voice, becoming the leading band in the indie music movement in Tijuana. Only a few bands bring up the emblematic and unique elements of Mexican culture with different genres such as 60’s and 70’s rock and latin american ballad, creating their own style which they call romantic psychedelic rock.
SF/Arts Curator Insight
Spend your Friday night with "romantic psychedelic rock" band Ramona, who are up from Tijuana paying a visit to our beloved local venue Rickshaw Stop in December. Ramona blends ‘70s psychedelia with Latin American ballads, paying homage to the Chicano culture unique to the US-Mexico border region. If that weren’t enough, Ramona is supported by San Francisco’s finest lullaby punk band Secret Secret, made up of DIY scene veterans and multi-talented femme musicians Marika Stuurman, Sadie Alan, Maria Donjacour, and Thomas Fendert.
