SF/Arts Curator Insight
The merging of high and lowbrow culture, in this case a respected symphony orchestra providing live musical accompaniment for mega blockbusters, has proven a successful formula and a hit with audiences. We’ll see if the magic works with a screening of the “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise, from 2003, starring Johnny Depp in trademark earring and eyeliner, a viewing experience enhanced by the SF Symphony performing the Klaus Badelt score produced by Hans Zimmer.
