MVFF returns with its signature, easygoing ambience and prestige art house fare. On tap: “Sun Ra: Do the Impossible,” a portrait of the theatrical, avant-garde musician, poet and cosmic jazz composer, who claimed he was born on Saturn, and “The Mastermind,” the latest from Kelly Reichardt (“Certain Women”), known for her keenly observed, slice-of life indies. The latter stars the hot young actor Josh O’Connor (a sexy shambles in “Challengers,” who earlier nailed Prince Charles to a fare-thee-well in “The Crown”) as an aspiring art thief embarking on a caper that goes awry.
