About

When bestselling novelist Kazuro Ishiguro won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2017, the Nobel committee described him as having “uncovered the abyss beneath our illusory sense of connection in the world.” Now here’s your chance to ask this “poet of the unspoken” (New York Times) your questions about his vision, writing life, and his first novel since winning the Nobel.

SF/Arts Curator Insight

“The Remains of the Day” and “Never Let Me Go” author Kazuo Ishiguro discusses “Klara and the Sun”, his first novel since winning the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2017, in a don't-miss conversation with “Homegoing” and “Transcendent Kingdom” author Yaa Gyasi. The headlining event for this year's Bay Area Book Festival, tickets are available with or without the novel, with signed bookplates for the first 250 ticket-holders.
