SF/Arts Curator Insight
Readers unite! Litquake returns this October with a tantalizing array of programming for Bay Area book lovers. Visit the Book Fair at Yerba Buena Gardens and enjoy selections from local small presses and literary magazines, support BIPOC and queer writers and thinkers at Litquake Out Loud, join the always popular one-night, free LitCrawl SF through the Mission District that brings together 250 authors and close to 5,000 fans, and support children’s book authors and educators at Kidquake. Many events are free.

Litquake’s diverse live programs are created with the aim of inspiring critical engagement with the key issues of the day, bringing people together around the common humanity encapsulated in literature, and perpetuating a sense of literary community, as well as a vibrant forum for Bay Area writing. We believe in literature as a public good, so we work to produce events that are accessible to all.
