The Shimmering Self, a solo exhibition by Laura Malone, presents large-scale figurative oil paintings exploring embodied female subjectivity. Spanning five years, these works move between representation and abstraction, where bold gestures meet delicate precision. Malone invites viewers into a rhythmic flow of brush and body, revealing shifting states of consciousness and the interplay between inner and outer worlds.
Founded in 2006, Mercury 20 is a contemporary art gallery established, supported and operated by San Francisco Bay Area artists. Mercury 20 maintains a gallery space in Oakland, CA as well as an online sales platform.
