Opera Parallèle follows up its Mother’s Day Up-Close streaming recital with a free on-line Father’s Day show starring bass-baritone Kenneth Kellogg -- who sang the lead role of boxer Emile Griffith in Opera Parallele’s acclaimed San Francisco production of Terrence Blanchard’s Champion: An Opera in Jazz -
and pianist Kevin Korth. The repertoire includes Florence Price’s “To My Little Son,” and Robert Owens’ “Gifts,” set to poetry by Langston Hughes.
