Join us at Book Passage for an author event in celebration of John O'Connor's new book, A Short, Strange Trip: An Untold Story of Magic Mushrooms, Madness, and a Search for the Meaning of Life in the Amazon. Tag along with clever guide John O'Connor as he leads us on a gonzo journey through the history of psychedelics, the Amazon rainforest, and into the cosmic dimensions of our own minds. Book Passage claimed the title of the “Bay Area’s Liveliest Bookstore” years ago as it was hosting more than 800 author events, classes, conferences, children’s events, writers’ organizations, book groups, and other activities each year. The pandemic forced us to slow down some of these activities a bit, but we’ve also now added a whole array of online events & classes.
