Hugomento is pleased to present Holding Space: Pattern, Form, Thread, a two-person exhibition of textile art by Carrie Crawford and ceramic sculptures by Karyn Gabriel.
Fascinated with repetition, Bay Area artists Carrie Crawford and Karyn Gabriel share homogeneous ideas of holding space and creating pattern—their common visual language. How can harmony and tension exist simultaneously? When does fragility become a strength? These two bodies of work examine, unveil structures and patterns that are often hidden just below the surface.
