About
We are excited to announce the launch of Fraenkel POP-UP, a short-term gallery space located in San Francisco’s Presidio Heights neighborhood. Featuring works by Diane Arbus, Vija Celmins, Lee Friedlander, Adam Fuss, Peter Hujar, Richard Learoyd, Helen Levitt, Richard Misrach, Hiroshi Sugimoto, and more.
SF/Arts Curator Insight
The idea is simple: When the viewer can’t or won’t come to the art, take the art to the viewer. San Francisco’s premiere photography gallery has opened a storefront on Sacramento street near the mouth of the Presidio. For two months, the gallery will rotate deep cuts from its vast collection of photography’s masters, including Avedon, Arbus, Soth and Sugimoto.
