Pianist Conrad Tao returns to Cal Performances after his 2021 appearance as composer and performer in Caleb Teicher’s tap dance creation More Forever. Tao is known for risk-taking and for the rigorous attention he gives his programs, which juxtapose new and old works. His program for this recital intersperses Brahms’ Op. 118 Klavierstücke and David Fulmer’s I have loved a stream and a shadow… with works by Rebecca Saunders and Todd Moellenberg.
