Frontman Alec Ounsworth is on tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of Clap Your Hands Say Yeah’s landmark self-titled album, a stunning, exuberant indie rock debut that remains canonical two decades later. Somewhere between classic indie and jangle pop sits Clap Your Hands Say Yeah: their nasally, drawling refrains and masterfully arranged album made them a mid-2000s critic’s favorite. As someone who may or may not have memories of bawling my eyes out to “Is This Love” in high school, I’m particularly excited for this show.
