Freight & Salvage celebrates Black female pioneers of blues, jazz, country, and roots music with The Dynamic Miss Faye Carol leading a talented multi-generational lineup of vocalists, instrumentalists, and poets from jazz artist Mary Stallings, country vocalist Miko Marks, and Kito Kamill, pianist and songwriter, to artist/activist Alecia Harger, who is documenting the history and present of Black art and activism in the Bay Area at UC Berkeley.
