Famed English electronic duo Autechre are on their first North American tour in 10 years alongside pioneering IDM (intelligent dance music) DJ Mark Broom. Emerging from the UK’s storied Warp Records roster in the early ‘90s, Autechre’s Sean Booth and Rob Brown are seminal figures in electronic music history. Their abstract, rhythmically complex compositions frequently make use of custom programming to create music that blurs the line between human and machine. Their influence on electronic music genres — from IDM to glitch to experimental hip-hop — cannot be overstated.
