Art Escapes: Virtual Tours Through Asia
About
On Saturday afternoons, grab your preferred device, curl up on the couch, and embark on an illuminating tour through different museum galleries. With Zoom as your portal, and a specialist to guide you, you’ll have close-up encounters with works from our world-famous collection, revisit recent exhibitions, and preview new contemporary installations. Afterward, take part in a live, friendly conversation with one of our curators — all from the safety and comfort of home.
SF/Arts Curator Insight
Following a month of programming for Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage month, the Asian Art Museum hosts several exciting “Art Escapes: Virtual Tours Through Asia.” These 20-minute virtual tours provide an opportunity to enjoy a guided museum experience with a specialist.
Immersive insight into the enormous breadth of Asian artifacts is just a click away. From the contemplative spiritual artifacts of the Himalayas to the shimmering set of Indonesian daggers, this in-depth experience is something you won’t want to miss. Tours are available virtually on June 5, June 19, and July 3 at 4pm.
