Andrea Brewster has long been fascinated by Dutch flower paintings of the 17th century, with their realistic and detailed depictions of floral bouquets. With her new series entitled, Enchanted Garden, she utilized digital tools, like artificial intelligence, to create compositions that underscore both the fleeting qualities of nature and the ability of floral images to explore the future of the natural environment in which we live.
Founded in 2006, Mercury 20 is a contemporary art gallery established, supported and operated by San Francisco Bay Area artists. Mercury 20 maintains a gallery space in Oakland, CA as well as an online sales platform. Our collective operating structure supports our ability to experiment, develop, exhibit and advance our work and to sustain our arts community.
