2025 International Queer Women of Color Film Festival
About
QWOCMAP presents the 21st annual International Queer Women of Color Film Festival (QWOCFF25), June 13-15, 2025 at San Francisco's historic Presidio Theatre in the Presidio National Park!
This year's Festival Focus, "Fierce Determination," showcases 49 films across 7 screenings—from the ancestral traditions of Mauna Kea to Black Southern liberation stories—illuminating how LBTQIA+ BIPOC communities persist, thrive, and imagine liberatory futures through radical artistry and collective care.
Continuing our commitment to disability justice, all screenings include subtitles for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing viewers, audio descriptions for Blind and Low Vision audiences, and ASL interpretation.
SF/Arts Curator Insight
The fest’s theme, “Fierce Determination,” says it all about a carefully curated program embracing an array of subject matter, relationships, travails, cultures and fights against adversity with an emphasis on variety and self-acceptance-- on earth and other places. Take futuristic excursions like “Mother of the Closet,” where a queer black student and her lover are transported to another dimension, and “I Am Glitching,” in which a robot designed for peak perfection finds beauty in flaws.
