About

A series of outdoor movies filmed on or around Treasure Island. Presented by Gold Bar Whiskey and Treasure Island San Francisco.

SF/Arts Curator Insight

Any film, no matter how wondrous, has its work cut out for it competing with the staggering view of the city skyline, which glistens and seems to float like Oz across the bay. The inaugural series, featuring movies shot on or around Treasure Island, are shown at Gold Whiskey Bar, housed in the former Pan Am Airport, the grand circular Art Deco edifice that appeared in “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.” The final two movies of the series, “Bicentennial Man and “What Dreams May Come,” are oldies but goodies starring the beloved Robin Williams. You can watch from the bar or the parking lot and it’s free!
