The talents of the Bay Area comedy scene are showcased at the annual SF Sketchfest. Multiple venues in the city offer live improv comedy, film and television tributes and reunions, solo performances, podcasts and stand-up comedy. The event draws some of the biggest names in comedy from across the country including writers, performers and actors while also spotlighting local favorites and talented emerging comics.

The three who created Sketchfest as students at SF State 20 years ago are still at the helm of what's grown to be the longest-running comedy festival in the country. This year's midwinter funfest will present live performances of sketch and stand-up comedy along with music, improv, films, live podcasts, and panel discussions, including a tribute to Laraine Newman. Fans can also stream some of the Festival's greatest hits from over the years.
