Obi Kaufmann at Night of Ideas

Litquake

Litquake is proud to partner with San Francisco's annual edition of the global marathon event Night of Ideas, at the city's Main Library. Presented in collaboration with the French Consulate in San Francisco, San Francisco Public Library (SFPL), San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA), and KQED, this free seven-hour marathon of philosophical debate, talks, performances, and music features top thinkers from San Francisco.

This is what SF/Arts curator Evan Karp has to say about Obi Kaufmann at Night of Ideas :

Author of the acclaimed “California Field Atlas” (2017), an inventive, 550-page guide to the state's ecologies and histories with hand-painted maps and trail paintings, Bay Area native Obi Kauffman's 2nd book is “The State of Water: Understanding California's Most Precious Resource” (2019). He lectures as part of the 2nd annual Night of Ideas, a 7-hour marathon of philosophical debate, talks and performances on the theme “Living on the Edge.”
