After Hours: Jose Antonio Vargas

Mill Valley Public Library

Part of the Washington Post team that won a Pulitzer Prize for its 2008 coverage of the Virginia Tech shooting, Jose Antonio Vargas revealed his status as an undocumented immigrant in a 2011 essay published in "The New York Times Magazine" to advocate for the DREAM Act, which would provide children in similar circumstances a path to citizenship. He's the author of "Dear America: Notes of an Undocumented Citizen" (2018, Dey Street).
