Bringing together campy Bollywood extravaganzas and South Asian stories by filmmakers from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Australia and the U.S., 3rd i’s films emphasize politics and issues of family, immigration and climate change. The thriller “An Insignificant Man,” for instance, follows the campaign of an Indian leader called “the Bernie Sanders of India,” while “Shepherdess of the Glaciers” bears witness to global warming in the Himalayas.
