Arundhati Roy

Arundhati Roy is the author of the Booker Prize-winning novel The God of Small Things. Her political writings include The Algebra of Infinite Justice, Listening to Grasshoppers, Broken Republic and Capitalism: A Ghost Story, and most recently Things That Can and Cannot Be Said, co-authored with John Cusack. Arundhati Roy lives in New Delhi and her new novel, The Ministry of Utmost Happiness will be published in June 2017.

In what it sure to be a classic City Arts & Lectures event, beloved authors Arundhati Roy and Alice Walker meet to discuss Roy’s new novel “The Ministry of Utmost Happiness.” Roy, who lives in New Delhi, is author of the Man Booker prize-winning “The God of Small Things.” Walker wrote the seminal novel “The Color Purple,” which won both the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Award for Fiction.
