This is what SF/Arts curator Sura Wood had to say about 4th San Francisco Green Film Festival :

Based on an essay in “The New Yorker” by novelist Jonathan Franzen, “Emptying the Skies” is a documentary about the annual slaughter of Mediterranean songbirds by poachers and the bird lovers who risk all to save them. It’s one of fifty films here whose timely topics range from the precarious state of the world’s food supply to the birth of the environmental movement.
