Tiny Beautiful Things

SF Playhouse

Based on the book by Cheryl Strayed Adapted for the stage by Nia Vardalos Directed by Bill English Based on the acclaimed book by Cheryl Strayed (author of the best-selling Wild), 'Tiny Beautiful Things' follows Sugar, an online advice columnist who uses her personal experiences to help the real-life readers who pour their hearts out to her.

This is what SF/Arts curator Jean Schiffman has to say about Tiny Beautiful Things :

Cheryl Strayed (whose Northwest trek was portrayed in the film “Wild”) wrote the 2012 memoir upon which this play, adapted for the stage by Nia Vardalos (“My Big Fat Greek Wedding”), is based. It’s centered on the advice column Strayed wrote under the pseudonym “Sugar” and traces her own personal experiences. The New York Times called it a play about the endangered art of really listening to others. Bill English directs.
