Noura

Marin Theatre Company

Heather Raffo's drama is based on workshops with Arab-American women in New York who revealed their own stories of the search for a sense of "identity and belonging." With Henrik Ibsen's Nora of "A Doll's House" as a reference point, the exploration led to a play about the challenges facing contemporary women caught between cultures, as experienced by the main character, Noura (Denmo Ibrahim). Kate Bergstrom directs for Marin Theatre Company.
