Remarkable WWII Rosie

San Francisco Public Library

This extraordinary exhibition presents artist Carol Witten's visual essay of digital prints centered on the real life Rosies who stepped up to keep America running during World War II, building planes, ships, and ammunition with little-to-no training. Many of Witten's subjects are now more than 90 years old, with many more who are more than 100 years old; each offering a living history.
