Howard Zinn Book Fair 2019

The Howard Zinn Bookfair

The book fair draws upon the legacy of legendary historian and activist Howard Zinn by gathering over 60 publishers, booksellers, zinesters and community groups and dozens of author readings, panel discussions and workshops, all to explore the value of dissident histories in building a better future. This year's theme is "Strike! Discovering Our Power" to celebrate the ways in which everyday people organize together to change the world.

This is what SF/Arts curator Evan Karp has to say about Howard Zinn Book Fair 2019 :

The 6th annual all-volunteer fair for authors, zinesters, publishers and grassroots organizations presents a full day of programming: readings and performances, panels and workshops, with the likes of Silvia Federici, Jane McAlevey, Alice Bag, Bhaskar Sunkara and many others including voices from The Umbrella Movement in Hong Kong, The Yellow Vest Movement in France and The Oakland Teachers Strike.
