2019 SECA Art Award
SFMOMA's Society for Encouraging Contemporary Art was first organized by a group of 75 male artists in 1961--some sixteen years later women had broken the ranks and the first SECA Art Award was bestowed to cultivate contemporary Bay Area artists. To date, more than seventy artists have been recognized. Excitingly, Kenyatta A. C. Hinkle, Sahar Khoury, and Marlon Mullen are this year's winners.
