This is what SF/Arts curator Jean Schiffman has to say about Rime of the Ancient Mariner :

Samuel Taylor Coleridge’s epic 1798 poem is a tale told by a sailor, just returned from sea; stuck in an ice jam in Antarctica, his ship was guided to safety by an albatross, which the mariner then shot. His crime against nature has unleashed the fury of the spirit world. Performed in Word for Word’s trademark style—entire text enacted verbatim--by a cast of nine, the show is staged “atmospherically” by directors Delia MacDougall and Jim Cave.
