The Play That Goes Wrong

Shorenstein Hays Nederlander

Comedies about on-stage mishaps are somehow always hilarious. This Broadway show, which premiered in London and is currently in its fourth year on the West End, was created by Mischief Theatre members Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer and Henry Shields.

This is what SF/Arts curator Jean Schiffman had to say about The Play That Goes Wrong :

Comedies about on-stage mishaps are somehow always hilarious. This Broadway show, which premiered in London and is currently in its fourth year on the West End, was created by Mischief Theatre members Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer and Henry Shields. In it, a university drama society is struggling haplessly to produce a 1920s murder mystery. Can things go any more spectacularly wrong than they do in another British import, “Noises Off”? We’ll see.
