A Christmas Carol

American Conservatory Theater

Featuring a lively cast of dozens, delightful music, gorgeous costumes, and deliciously spooky ghosts, this version of A Christmas Carol, adapted by Paul Walsh and Carey Perloff, stays true to the heart of Dickens's timeless story of redemption and brings a playful sensibility to his rich language.

This is what SF/Arts curator Jean Schiffman has to say about A Christmas Carol :

Christmas in San Francisco means A.C.T.’s annual production of the Dickens holiday classic, with, as always, James Carpenter and Anthony Fusco alternating as the curmudgeon Scrooge and the esteemed Ken Ruta as the clanking, lugubrious ghost of Jacob Marley. The Paul Walsh and Carey Perloff adaptation includes the company’s students from the Fine Arts program and from the Young Conservatory its Young Conservatory. Peter J. Kuo directs.
