Queer as German Folk

San Francisco Public Library

The 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots in New York offers an opportunity to outline the current state of discourse on queer emancipation. With a spotlight on the dialogue between Germany and the Americas, this exhibition seeks to adjust historical perspectives and question the dominance/hegemony of the traditional cis-male narrative.
