American Voices

San Francisco Symphony

Renowned Broadway actor/vocalist Capathia Jenkins  and Denzal Sinclaire perform a showstopping tribute to some of the most genre-defining voices in American music. Hear Mr. Sinclaire's award-winning vocals as he performs Nat King Cole's greatest hits.

This is what SF/Arts curator Jesse Hamlin has to say about American Voices :

The commanding Broadway vocalist Capathia Jenkins, who played the singing washing machine in the Tony Kushner-Jeanine Tesori musical “Caroline, or Change,” sings Aretha Franklin songs in orchestral settings conducted by Edwin Outwater. Plush-voiced Canadian baritone Denzal Sinclaire opens with a toast to Nat King Cole.
