Women of Motown Singalong w/ Tammy Hall

Freight & Salvage/Berkeley

A frequent and favorite player at the Freight, Tammy Hall has worked with award-winning cabaret singer and actress Connie Champagne, Supreme Mary Wilson, chanteuse and actress Debbie De Coudreaux, The Montclair Women's Big Band, Houston Person, the late David ‘Fathead Newman', jazz violinists Regina Carter, Jeremy Cohen, Mads Tolling, orchestra leader and bassist Marcus Shelby, guitarist Terrence Brewer, and many more.

This is what SF/Arts curator Betsy Crabtree has to say about Women of Motown Singalong w/ Tammy Hall :

What woman who lived through the era of Motown could resist a chance to be Diana or Aretha or Mary, if just for a few moments (and BTW only in one’s own mind)? Tammy Hall, who has worked with numerous award-winning female vocalists, invites you to revisit, with her, an era when female stars from Motor City ruled the airwaves. Free with reservation.
