This comprehensive festival is produced by PlayGround, which is all about nurturing playwrights and developing new works for the stage. This year’s festival includes two full-length plays in rotating rep: Katie May’s “A History of Freaks,” about a circus sideshow; and “Anna Considers Mars” by Ruben Grijalva, which explores of-the-moment issues facing society. Also: staged readings, a young playwrights’ program and a series of short plays.
