A Coachella for avid readers and writers, Berkeley’s Bay Area Book Festival brings together dozens of rock stars from every genre of the written word, including novelist Tayari Jones (“An American Marriage”) and historian David Blight, (“Frederick Douglass: Prophet of Freedom”) for panels, interviews, keynotes and more, plus a free outdoor family fair meant to spark a lifelong love of reading.
