Yoga Play

SF Playhouse

At the top of their game, yoga apparel giant Jojomon is hit with a terrible scandal that sends them into freefall. Desperate to recover their earnings and reputation, newly hired CEO Joan stakes everything on an unlikely plan. Yoga Play is a journey towards enlightenment in a world determined to sell it.

This is what SF/Arts curator Jean Schiffman had to say about Yoga Play :

In Dipika Guha’s new play, billed as a “comedic journey to enlightenment,” a California yoga apparel company is faced with a major scandal, and the new CEO has a plan to fix the problem: hire a real yogi to promote the brand. Playwright Guha, who herself was born in Calcutta, raises issues of truth and identity in our consumerist society. SF Playhouse artistic director Bill English directs the four-actor ensemble.
