Queer California: Untold Stories

Oakland Museum of California

Queer California: Untold Stories will combine art and history to tell under-recognized stories of LGBTQ+ Communities.

This is what SF/Arts curator Christian L. Frock has to say about Queer California: Untold Stories :

This exhibition reconsiders the dominant narratives about California’s queer histories in favor of lesser-known stories centered around queer identities, politics and resistance movements. Featuring historical ephemera, rarely seen artifacts, photography and documentation alongside contemporary works by artists such as Edie Fake, Julio Salgado and the late Laura Aguilar, among others.
