Al Farrow: Divine Ammunition

Museum of Craft and Design

Opening directly after the 2018 mid-term elections and during a contentious period in the history of the nation, this exhibition is a striking visual commentary on the contemporary political climate, religion, war, history, culture and faith.

This is what SF/Arts curator Christian L. Frock had to say about Al Farrow: Divine Ammunition :

This exhibition features 24 sculptures created from deconstructed gun parts, bullets, lead shot, shell casings, steel, bone, glass and cluster bomb—constructed as churches, synagogues, mosques, mausoleums, ritual objects and reliquaries. The works speak volumes about the relationship between religion and state violence in the midst of an increase in the American gun violence epidemic.
