Abbi Jacobson

City Arts & Lectures

Abbi Jacobson is a comedian, writer, actress, and illustrator. Trained at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, she is best known as Executive Producer, creator, and star of the critically-acclaimed Comedy Central series Broad City. Celebrated for its exceptional writing and self-possessed and unabashed feminism, Broad City started as a web series conceived with Jacobson's long-time friend and collaborator Ilana Glazer. The show's fifth and final season will air in 2019. Jacobson is also the author and illustrator of the coloring books Color This Book: New York City and Color This Book: San Francisco, as well as the illustrated book Carry This Book. Her new book, I Might Regret This: Essays, Drawings, Vulnerabilities, and Other Stuff, is an essay collection about love, loss, work, comedy, and figuring out who you really are when you thought you already knew.
