Root Division
Root Division presents Introductions 2018, the 12th iteration of its annual juried exhibition. The Introductions exhibition showcases the talent of twelve emerging artists in the San Francisco Bay Area, offering exposure to the art community and beyond through public reception, and catalog documentation.The resulting exhibition includes diverse range of media and subject matter featuring video, installation, sculpture, photography and painting.
This is what SF/Arts curator Betsy Crabtree had to say about Introductions 2018 :
Root Division puts on this showcase for emerging talent in video, installation, sculpture, photography and painting. Twelve local artists are selected in a juried competition and their work shown in a month-long exhibition. The 2018 jurors are Indira Allegra, artist & writer; Beryl Bevilacque, artist liaison, Jessica Silverman Gallery; and Rebeka Rodriguez, civic engagement manager, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. Free.
